Our entry in the blog world

I must admit I have enjoyed staying up to date with my sisters and their families. The this morning I found a new blogger, and said to myself if Tommy can do it, dammit I have the time to do it also. So here goes nothing! Emily and I have started our life together this past year. And very quickly we bacame proud parents of what we feel is the most beautiful thing ever created. McCamey Rose Compan. She just turned 5 months old Tuesday. Also Emily celebrated her 28th birthday recently.

For me it has been the best year of my life. Emily and I got married and had a child. My golf team won a championship this season, and currently my girls basketball team is 21-0 heading into tonights game vs. Grand Valley. So things have been wonderful!

Currently I am staying home with McCamey. When Emily went back to work, I decided to stay home for a few weeks to be "Mr. Mom". I must admit I love it! To see her do new things and learn new things is truly amazing. I don't mind the dirty diapers so much, but I do hate the scares that come with being a parent. I had my first moment a week or so ago, when Emily was sick. I was watching Camey and went back to the bedroom to get her tiny tummies medicine. I had propped her into the corner of the couch assured that she would be there when I returned mere sceonds later. As I came back into the room, I watched helplessly as she tumbled back and head first onto the floor. As she screamed bloody murder for the next 5 minutes, I was sure that I had caused permanent brain damage.. of course she was fine, but I sure as hell didn't like it!

Anyway we are having a great time being married, being parents and living the dream. We are currently looking to buy a new home, because this one got small very quickly. So we will keep you up to date on that. Hope you all enjoy our blog, and we will have great stories to match those of my sisters and cousin.

  1. You rock! I'm so, so excited to have another blogger and to get to read about your adventures with McCamey and Em on a daily basis. Way to go, Mr. Mom & Coach!

  2. Jeff, Welcome to bloggin! How fun to be able to keep in touch with you this way!

As for the McCamey incident, I had a similar one with Brendan where I dropped him in his car seat. I was so sure that I had hurt him, but he was fine.

    Looking forward to your updates!
